This book by Mrs. Manjushri Gokhale would be undoubtedly helpful for the analysts, researches and the graduates and connoisseurs studying the literature of Acharya. The translation of the pslam poetry in the three languages done by Mrs. Manjushri Gokhale is admirable. 1 congratulate her for her noteworthy work. I express my goodwill, that her work be honoured by the Sanskrit language analysts far and wide and wish her success in her future literary ventures.

मी एक भाषेची अभ्यासक आचार्याचं "सौदर्यलहरी" हे स्तोत्रकाव्य माझ्या वाचनात आलं आणि त्यातल्या ज्ञानवैभवानं आणि रचनावैभवानं मी भारावून गेले. देवी भगवतीच्या शक्तीचं आणि आपादमस्तक सौंदर्याचं वर्णन यात आचार्यांनी केलं आहे. शब्दप्रभुत्व, भाषाप्रभुत्व, व्याकरण प्रभुत्वाच्या ऐश्वर्यामुळे अतिशय देखणं झालं आहे. हे स्तोत्रकाव्य वाचताना, अभ्यासतानात्यातले भाषासौंदर्य आणि रचनासौंदर्य बघून मी थक्क झाले. मनात असाही एक विचार आला की एवढे संपन्न भाषावैभव संस्कृत भाषेत असल्यामुळे ते रसिकांपर्यंत पोहोचण्याला मर्यादा पडत आहेत. या स्तोत्रकाव्याचा रसास्वाद मराठीतर भाषिकांना आणि भारताबाहेरील संस्कृत अभ्यासकांना घेता यावा असं मनाला वाटून या स्तोत्रकाव्याचा अनुवाद मराठी, हिंदी आणि इंग्रजी अशा तीन भाषेत करावा असा संकल्प केला.
